Get a Workout in Your Glacier


Life on the road means gym memberships are tough to maintain and eating schedules are off-balance, but that doesn't mean you have to sit on the couch and accept that you won't stay in shape while traveling.

In fact, the following are a few exercise you can do right from your couch. So stay in your pajamas, forget the shoes, and get these awesome workouts done inside your Glacier. The best part: you don’t have to brave the cold!

Tricep Marches

Sit on the edge of the couch with your arms behind you. Slide your rear end off the end of the couch, so your arms are supporting your body weight. Lift one leg, then the other, in a marching motion. After the second leg has "marched," lift your hips off the couch as high as you can while your arms and feet remain planted. Complete three sets of 10 reps of this exercise, and you'll feel the burn in your triceps, core and legs.

Decline Push Up

Lay perpendicular to your coach in a full push-up position. Now lift your legs up onto the seat of the couch and make sure your body is perfectly in line. Lower your chest toward the floor as you would with a normal push-up. Complete 15 reps of this exercise at first, then increase to two or three sets -- you'll feel it in your chest, arms and abs tomorrow.

Sit to Stand Sidesteps

You actually get to sit on the couch for this exercise -- well, for a second. Start by sitting on one end of your couch, then stand up (without using your arms for support) and reach your arms straight up into the air. Take a sidestep toward the other end of the couch, then sit back down. Repeat the same motion going in the other direction, and you've completed one full rep. Try doing 10 reps of this exercise, and you'll feel the burn in your legs and core.
